Work Plus

The Work Plus Program provides services for individuals who have received TANF benefits for at least 60 months. All clients determined eligible are referred to the Work Plus program by the CAO. These individuals will participate in work activities and educational activities for at least 30 hours-per-week. The services provided through Work Plus, coupled with case management, assist clients through a series of program activities that lead toward economic independence.

Services available to participants may include:

  • Short-term literacy courses
  • GED and high school diploma programs
  • English as a Second Language (ESL) courses
  • Skills training programs
  • Job readiness/preparation
  • Job search workshops
  • Job placement and retentions services
