Laid Off Workers

Job seekers who were laid off from their most recent place of employment can call PWDC's Customer Service Hotline @ (215) 557-2625 to access work and training information specifically for the laid off population.

In addition, PWDC can connect experienced candidates with opportunities at the Philadelphia Naval Business Center (PNBC). Qualified candidates who meet the following eligibility requirements and are interested in PNBC job opportunities can call (800) 376-7129.

Eligibility Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in the trades
- Willingness to participate in subsidized on-the-job training program
- Must pass math and reading assessment
