Workforce Development

What We Offer

The Workforce Development Support Center is both an intranet resource and a team of staff members that are available to:

  • Provide up-to-date information to DHS staff about PWDC and CareerLink programs and services, including job fair announcements and other workforce related community events
  • Provide a glossary of terms and acronyms commonly used in the field of Workforce Development

  • Act as an advocate for DHS clients and help to resolve problems associated with PWDC or CareerLink administered programs
  • Answer questions about eligibility for and participation in PWDC administered programs and services. Center staff will receive complaints and problems related to PWDC services and actively help case managers get their issues resolved
  • Offer guidance about issues concerning the Department of Public Welfare or the Philadelphia County Assistance Office. However, center staff can not answer specific case questions or resolve problems associated with DPW or PCAO
