The Quality Health Management Unit continues and expands on the work efforts formerly done by the CYD Managed Care Unit. Some of the current roles and responsibilities include the following:

• Coordinate health insurance for children in substitute care;
• Advocate for the health needs and concerns for children in substitute care;
• Maintain and coordinate the Health Information Help Desk; and
• Participate in accept-for-service decisions for children with special health care needs.
