Court-Ordered & Sexual Abuse Evaluations

Court-ordered evaluations that address primarily behavioral health status and treatment needs are generally done in the Clinical Evaluation Unit at Family Court, in collaboration with the Behavioral Health System (BHS).

The Clinical Management Unit (Psychologists) at DHS arranges for evaluations that address child welfare questions:

  • Permanency (e.g. termination of parental rights)
  • Bonding and Attachment
  • Parenting Capacity
  • Sexual Abuse Validation Evaluations (e.g. victims, sexually reactive behaviors, perpetration)
